She’s of average height with a relatively small frame, but beneath the too-big military garb she is all muscle. Not grotesquely so, but all the extensive physical training she’s been put through is made exceptionally obvious when completely stripped down. 201 and her sister are dressed much alike, the only difference between them is she usually insistent on being given a tad more color in her wardrobe, and she had been allowed a light pink undershirt as opposed to the olive-drab of her sister’s. (For some doctors and employees of the Facility, it’s the only way they can tell 201 and 202 apart at first glance.) They each have brandings along the outer ridge of their right ears; on 201’s a series of numbers and letters reading “GIP-U201” which stand for “Genetic Interaction Product – Unit 201.” Chosen PB: First come, first serve. Please check the taken PB page. You are also welcome to use your own or commissioned art, or icons that do not depict your characters face but facets of their personality as well. Personality: As opposed to 202, Unit 201 was fostered in a significantly more humane environment. The scientists had intended on attempting to raise their first experiment the same way one would rear a child, to make her generally more agreeable and cooperative. Because of the canid genes mixed into her DNA, naturally she would be decidedly subservient and friendly, which, while necessary for the line of work she was to be used for, posed significant issues once she began to age and actually develop empathy. When she began to define the phrase "Lover, not a fighter" is when the scientists, in essence, trashed her as a failure and kept her around for testing. That and, well, they simply couldn't release her into the wild, so to speak. Where 202 is more of a wolven war-machine, 201 is a hyperactive lapdog, eager to make friends and keep any and all people she comes to like close. She's more social and easier to please, trustworthy to a fault and excited at the prospect of a social life. Living within the confines of the facility did not lend her the option of those sorts of activities. What she learned through varying medias she was lent by the nicer of the caretakers, she wanted to live a life of adventure and excitement, traveling the world and meeting celebrities and getting to attend "parties" with the friends she had no doubt she would make in the future. Despite being clones of one another, 201 views 202 as a sister, a littermate and her security. She's clingy to a point-- she knows better than to bother her if she's not in a wonderful mood-- and depends on her not as a means of protection, but as structure and a safety net if she's ever worried or sad (emotions she was never intended to experience.) 201 is well aware of her strengths and powers, but refuses to use them unless they are absolutely necessary, but she is far more likely to tuck her tail between her legs and let 202 do all of the fighting (once again, if it's entirely necessary.) This is not entirely due to fear of the situation, but of what she is-- 201 doesn't want to be viewed as a monster, but as a human like everyone else, and humans simply can't shift into massive wolves, capable of rendering entire cities into rubble and ashes in a night's time. If possible, 201 will attempt to cool 202's nerves and speak with the ones causing issues rather than go at them tooth and nail, simply because she believes problems can be solved through talking easier than through bloodshed. World Information: The twin's world is essentially a very slightly-altered version of our own-- The only real difference is that, at least to the best of my knowledge, our US Government is not genetically-altering and experimenting with people and animals to create that old chestnut, the ideal super-soldier. Both she and her sister's knowledge of the world comes from various educational texts they were given. (Though a particular caretaker knew 201 cared for nothing of the sort regarding military history, so she was given magazines and popular films to fill her time once they put an end to her training.) They were taught history, geography and so on, but it's really just "book-smarts" with no practical experience whatsoever. What they have both learned of people, mostly, is they are to be subservient and protective, despite how they may be treated. 201, while having never interacted with the humans in the outside world (aside from military and medical personnel) she is aware of severe emotional ups and downs people can experience-- trash tv she'd managed to catch every now ant then taught her that most women were catty and irritable, and that men could sometimes be jerks and probably shouldn't be trusted-- and that the lives they led weren't exactly normal. History: 201 was the prototype for what would be the first of many Genetic Interaction Units, colloquially named "Shifts." (Her sister being the secondary, in case of their first being a failure, as she proved to be in the future.) These beings were made with the intent of being the "big guns" in times of war. The first experiment was female, blonde, green-eyed and completely innocuous at first glance, but within her she held immense energy and strength. The unit was built with a telescoping bone structure that allows her to shift into her more animalistic forms; in full-on battle mode she would stand as an 8 foot tall werewolf, sturdy with nearly impenetrable muscle, with claws and teeth made for tearing through layers of metal. In a more mobile mode the units can remain human or shift into a fairly normal sized wolf, stronger than an average canid and still quite capable of taking out an entire car if necessary. Two were created; units 201 and 202, each clones of each other and to be trained and raised similarly in hopes of being equally effective in action. However, 201 had developed a deep emotional attachment to one of their caretakers and as such learned more about being human. This became harder to deal with once they grew older, as 201 developed emotions and a deep sense of empathy for humans, friends or enemies. Still, she trained alongside her sister, taught the ways of war, how to use various and sundry weaponry and how to shift forms once their bodies were fully developed. Once amidst battle, however, 201 proved to be entirely useless as her subservience had her more inclined to keep people safe rather than attack them. She couldn't bring herself to harm anyone, whereas 202 waded into battle as ordered while her sister stood back and watched in abject terror. She couldn't even bring herself to shift, much less actually fight. Mission complete, the facility deemed 201 a failure and ended her training there, keeping her locked up and banned from ever being used in action ever again. Once word got out that they were considering trashing 201 for her inadequacy, 202 rebelled and fought against the facility, breaking them out of their cells and making a run for the outside world where she would never have to worry for her sister's safety again. Abilities: 202 and her sister are both what their facility called "Shifts;" They are essentially a bioengineered werewolf species created through the process of gene-splicing. Their "transformations" are completely voluntary (Excesses of volatile emotion, however, might cause it to occur accidentally), and while in either of their nonhuman forms (there is a full wolf form and one that's larger and a bit more monstrous & warlike) they are still themselves, mentally. Though they can change parts of their body as and when they choose to(Just their ears or feet, for example), it's a rarely-demonstrated ability as it is, essentially, useless. A final part of Shifts' genetic conditioning is an accelerated healing rate; though they're not invincible by any means, they are immensely durable and are designed to heal rapidly in the event that any damage does occur. As a result, their bodies tend to automatically repair lost or damaged cells, which essentially prevents them from aging once they've reached adulthood. Strengths/Weaknesses: Both of the twins excel in Military maneuvers, everything from weapons training to world history has been drilled into them over a lifetime. They're both immensely strong and durable, but only physically-- Mentally and emotionally, they differ vastly from one another. 202 is socially-inexperienced to the point of callousness, generally regarding humans on the whole as being weak and disposable. She has no experience with, time or use for most social human emotions (EG- Anger, shame, humor, jealousy), regarding them as personal shortcomings in an area in which she has no experience. Due to the physical makeup that allows them the ability to change between forms, both their bone and muscle structure is much denser than that of a human, rendering them substantially heavier than they look and almost entirely incapable of swimming. 202 is immensely protective of her sister, to the point of personal weakness-- She will disregard the safety both of herself and others if it means keeping 201 safe. First Person: [Action] [She's pretty sure she's had a dream like this before... Or something like it, anyway. Or maybe it's the start of a movie... waking up in the car of a train she doesn't remember taking, into a town she didn't know the name of, and stepping off into a station populated with peculiar and alien faces. Some look as confused as she is, and that in itself is somewhat comforting. Looks like they don't know what's going on here, either... Come to think of it, maybe 02 knew where they-- Wait.] Hey! Oh-Two, where are-- [The girl turns sharply on one heel, expecting to see her sister exiting the car after her. Instead, she is met with empty tracks, as if the train had never been there to begin with.] Oh-Two...?? [She clasps both hands together and to her chest, turning slowl back to face the station and the people shuffling about inside. Steadily building panic is quickly dismissed more like forgotten entirely, what is attention span when her hands hit something foreign and ooh shiny hanging around her neck from a chain. A pocketwatch?] What on earth...? [Text/Video/Audio] can you cool you can type on this thing neat :D [It flicks briefly to video, complete with the sound of rustling and distantly agitated grumbling, as she apparently has yet to realize that she can be heard.] Really?! Come on-- [And the video is off again. Someone help her out.] Third Person: "Oh-Two, will you--" Oh no... She was here alone, wasn't she? Where was 02? Did she get on a different train? Maybe she was finding dinner. But-- no. That wouldn't make any sense. 01 was alone on that train when she woke up, and alone when she arrived at the station platform. 02 would have never left her there alone, without telling her, for any reason. That just wouldn't happen. The girl's shoulders slumped, hands falling from the watch to her sides and balling into small fists in the fabric of her pants. Questions filled her head, panic quickly beginning to grip at her chest. How, why, where, when-- it was already too much. They should have never left the compound. What could she do from here? What could she do without her sister? Where was she even supposed to go? Out. Out of here, anyway. Maybe wander around and figure out where she is? First things first, she supposed. 01 could figure it out. She could definitely figure this out. If she just... stopped freaking out for two seconds, she'd be fine. "Find Oh-Two. That's... that's first priority." She murmured to herself as she moved towards the station's exit. "...But where do I even start?"
